Invasive Procedures

After non-invasive procedures have been performed and if a problem has been detected, a more detailed, or invasive, procedure is required. Among these invasive procedures is diagnostic cardiac catheterization.

The Heart Center at Fairview Park Hospital also offers a procedure called peripheral angioplasty to treat peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Once a procedure has been performed, it may show a need for surgery.
